Ceramic Garden Tower June 6/7, 13th/14th and 27th/28th 10-1pm (6 sessions)

In this workshop, you will design and build a vertical ceramic tower using wheel-thrown components, accented with hand-built details. You’ll learn how to create stacked forms that fit together securely while exploring surface design and texture. Garden Towers may celebrate nature, personal tributes, or focus on repeating patterns and playful textures that catch light and shadow in the garden.

Instruction will cover planning your design, throwing consistent forms on the potter’s wheel, surface design, and assembling pieces with both aesthetics and durability in mind. This class is perfect for potters who want to expand beyond functional work and experiment with storytelling, symbolism, and outdoor ceramics.
