Sashiko Style Visible Mending Oct 24th 1-3pm

$60.00

Want to learn how to stylishly mend your clothing? Sashiko is a Japanese mending technique that uses the running stitch to patch and reinforce garments with stylish geometric stitch patterns. In this 2-hour hands-on workshop with fiber artist and author Melissa Galbraith of MCreativeJ you’ll learn how to get started mending your clothing with sashiko. We’ll cover how to design a pattern, reinforce a garment with a patch, prep your thread, create the running stitch, finish your thread, and care for your garment.

You can bring a garment to class to mend or practice on sample cotton fabric. All other materials are provided.

Cancellations made 7 or more days before the start of class are eligible for a refund minus processing fees. Processing fees are $5 for classes under $100 and $10 for classes $100 or more.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before class begins are non-refundable, unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist or by another participant.
If a participant cannot attend, registration may be transferred to another person with prior approval from the studio.
If a class is canceled by the studio, participants will receive a full refund, including any processing fees, or may choose to transfer enrollment to another class.
Because class sizes are limited and materials are prepared in advance, no refunds or credits will be given for missed classes once a class has begun.
