Lid Logic: Forms and Fit April 25/26 & May 2/3 3-6pm (4 sessions)

In this class we will investigate the different designs for vessels with lids, the reasoning behind their variety: i.e. designs for storing liquids vs. dry goods, etc.
In four sessions, Jonathan will share examples of finished pots and will demonstrate techniques for throwing, trimming, and lapping parts with precision to achieve the perfect fit. We will also approach the considerations for glazing and preparing these pieces for the kiln to avoid fusing it all together during the firing!
Class will meet April 25/26 & May 2/3 3-6pm
Class is limited to six people & intended for people with foundational pottery skills.
