6 Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing w/ Tim Le January 8th-February 12th

In this intermediate wheel throwing class, we’ll explore throwing exercises and different forms to learn and improve our throwing technique. We’ll have a range of demos, including throwing off-the-hump, maintaining and sharpening trimming tools, experimenting with surface decoration (chattering, carving, sgraffito, slip trailing), and exploring glazing techniques like using oxide washes and wax resists.

Classes meet every Friday morning January 8th thru February 12th, from 11am to 2pm.

Tim Le is an emerging Vietnamese-American potter based in Seattle, Washington. After an introduction to ceramics at the Green Lake Community Center in Seattle in 2023, Tim started his pottery journey in 2025 at the Clay Corner, where he initially received a scholarship and where he is currently part of the 2026 Career Residency Program. He also teaches pottery classes and workshops, and serves on the board of the Washington Clay Arts Association.

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start of class are eligible for a refund minus processing fees. Processing fees are $5 for classes under $100 and $10 for classes $100 or more.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before class begins are non-refundable, unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist or by another participant.

If a participant cannot attend, registration may be transferred to another person with prior approval from the studio.

If a class is canceled by the studio, participants will receive a full refund, including any processing fees, or may choose to transfer enrollment to another class.

Because class sizes are limited and materials are prepared in advance, no refunds or credits will be given for missed classes once a class has begun.
