Throwing Large w/ Jonathan Steele Aug 22nd and 23rd

Push the limits of the biggest a pot you can throw on the wheel! Whether its 5lbs, 10lbs, a whole 25lb bag of clay, or even more, we will discuss the limits of what clay can do and the structure of the material as we scale up our work. Jonathan will demonstrate techniques for pushing the boundaries of big pots! In this goal we will cover sectional pots and discover moon jars, and Onggi as inspirations which open the doors to larger and larger work.

Class meets Saturday and Sunday Aug 22nd and 23rd from 10am-1pm. Clay is not included in the price of this class. Midrange clays are available for purchase through Make Apothecary's website. If you're looking for specific clay (we purchase through Clay Arts Center) please inform the studio 2 weeks in advance. 

Cancellations made 14 or more days before the start of class are eligible for a refund minus processing fees. Processing fees are $5 for classes under $100 and $10 for classes $100 or more.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before class begins are non-refundable, unless the spot can be filled from a waitlist or by another participant.

If a participant cannot attend, registration may be transferred to another person with prior approval from the studio.

If a class is canceled by the studio, participants will receive a full refund, including any processing fees, or may choose to transfer enrollment to another class.

Because class sizes are limited and materials are prepared in advance, no refunds or credits will be given for missed classes once a class has begun.
